Born Gynarva Van Monroe, Van 'Go is an independent MC/Hip-Hop artist from the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. After many years of being an avid Hip-Hop fan, Van manifested his love, appreciation, and respect for the music and culture of the art form when he began writing his own songs in 2011. He released his first project, a mixtape titled "Well-Founded Fear", in March 2013. Since then, he has been performing regionally and working to build his brand. His major career highlights (thus far) include opening acts for Kendrick Lamar, Oddisee, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), and Chance the Rapper, as well as headlining his own full showcase at Oberlin College.
