SUNROC consists of 5 members from all over the country. When it was time to choose a school in anywhere they would like, in 2012, they all moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University. In 2013, as most music students at Belmont do, one of their members posted on the school’s Facebook page, “Hey, does anyone want to start a blues/rock band?” - and that’s how they started. Within the next week, they were already writing music together and practicing in the school’s parking garage. As time progressed, they had a line up change, but their music was starting to get strong. From mostly only playing covers at first, they finally had a big enough repertoire of originals to start playing shows. About a year later in early 2014, they are bringing blues and rock jams to venues all over Nashville. They only hope to continue to share their love and passion for music, and keep progressing so that they can some day be recognized on a much larger scale.
