Juice is a group of musicians based at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, who as 7 freshmen and an exchange student in May of 2014 won BC's Battle of the Bands, and played what has been described by the Undergraduate Government of Boston College "The best opening Modstock set in memory" when they opened for Hoodie Allen at BC's spring concert. With a unique sound that has ignited crowds into behaviors like dancing and screaming, Juice can be described as a mixture of funk, hip hop, R&B, rock, and alternative influences. The group's instrumentation of guitars, bass, drums and keyboard may seem normal, until the inclusion of screaming violin solos destroy any notions of what the group should sound like. When these elements are combined with the occasional hip-hop verse and vocals smoother than butter that drip from the lips of Boston College's first and second place winning "BC Idol" contestants, Juice produces a sound that is earthshakingly funky, and some would say sexy.
