Jake Gustafson, aka Güsto, is currently a full-time undergrad and lacrosse player at the University of Minnesota. In the summer of 2012, Güsto began songwriting and developing his production skills after a 2 year hiatus from music while focusing on collegiate athletics and academics. His debut mixtape, "Conjectures", was released on November 12, 2013 after 5 months of production. His writing and production styles range from dark and introspective to candid and light-hearted, resulting in a unique hip-hop portfolio for his relatively short time in the industry. His message is centered around optimism, while also containing an in-the-moment edginess that separates himself from typical hip-hop artists today. 2014 will be focused on building upon the framework the "Conjectures" mixtape has established. It will be a career-defining year as Güsto continues to develop his hip-hop niche, along with stepping into the spotlight as he becomes initiated in the art of live performance.
