Artist's notes

Bright Was The Night is the much anticipated debut EP from Nashville-based artist Emma Grager. Style wise, fifteen years of classical violin training and many summers of fiddle camp have added a notable folk sound to Emma's songs. She is often compared to artists like Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Mumford & Sons, Gabrielle Aplin, Ed Sheeran, Gavin DeGraw, and the Fray. Emma Grager's compositions are chock-full of charming melodies, witty wordplay, whimsical instrumentation, and rhythm-driven piano and guitar. "Darker Days," Emma's 2012 single, was well received and Bright Was The Night stays true to her unique folk/pop sound. "Me + You" was released April 2013 by request of Vanderbilt University for use in the commencement ceremony for the Class of 2013. Emma currently attends Vanderbilt University where she studies English Creative Writing and Space & the Human Condition.
