For a class project, I had to come up with an artistic mission and a project that reflects that mission. Over the last few years, I have been very interested in mixing different styles of music; this is the basis for my world fusion band, Jugal Vandy, and the remixes/mashups that are on my SoundCloud page. For the demo portion of my project, I composed an original refrain in Bilahari Ragam and, with a few friends, I recorded a song that fuses elements of Carnatic music and Jazz music. Hope you enjoy it!
This is my very first recording where I am both a performer and the producer. All the recording, mixing, and editing was done by me. I would like to especially thank Shelby for writing the Jazz chord progression. Also thanks to Richard and Vinay for helping me out with this project.
